About this edition

The 14th edition took place on Monday 2 March 2015 in Orchide's conference room and was about open data, a process that matters to any democratic society and had just started in Kosovo. The founders of Open Data Kosovo spoke, along with a representative of government.

Georges Labrèche, co-founder of Open Data Kosovo, opened with why the process matters for a young state and, as a US citizen, how the initiative could change society.

Partin Imeri and Endrit Bytyçi, also co-founders of Open Data Kosovo, talked about rolling the project out in cities across Kosovo, Ferizaj included: the fieldwork, how data actually gets opened and the obstacles along the way.

Ramadan Ilazi, a speaker the BarCamp Ferizaj community already knew and by then Deputy Minister of European Integration, talked about the government's approach to open data, the ministry's support and why open data matters for Kosovo's European integration and for a working democracy.

Organised by a team of young volunteers from Ferizaj, with the support of IPKO Foundation.
