Fifty meetups of stories and conversation in Ferizaj.
BarCamp Ferizaj was a volunteer-run gathering, open to everyone. People told the story of their work, and then the room took the floor.
What it was
One room, a few stories and a lot of questions.
From 14 September 2013 to 2020, BarCamp Ferizaj brought people together 50 times, from all over Kosovo. Each edition had a theme and two or three speakers who told how they did their work: the successes and the road that got them there.
Topics ranged widely: technology, education, theatre, music, painting, civic life and public institutions, entrepreneurship, NGOs, mental health, gender equality and more. For many young people in Ferizaj, it became an important part of life in the city.
How it worked
The format was simple. That was the point.

One theme per meetup
Each edition had its own theme, from technology to theatre, from public institutions to mental health.

Stories, not lectures
Two or three speakers told how they did their work: the successes and the road that got them there.

Then the room speaks
After every talk the floor opened for questions and discussion. That conversation was the heart of every meetup.

No ads on stage
No commercial promotion. Speakers and topics came mostly from the organizing team, often suggested by the community.
