About this edition

The 13th edition, the first of 2015, took place on 31 January in Orchide's conference room and was about education and activism.

Lirika Demiri, a sociology student, gave a talk called “Sociology through photographs”. She presented a series of photographs published in several magazines that show the everyday life of people in Kosovo, mostly of the Roma, Ashkali and Egyptian community in Ferizaj.

Shpend Mustafa, a political science student and activist from Ferizaj, talked about the “Club for Better Education”, a UNICEF-funded project run under the umbrella of KNK with the support of the Kosovar Youth Council (KYC). The project brought together everyone involved in upper secondary education and produced recommendations and studies on improving education in Kosovo.

Arbër Kadriu, a law student, talked about “Karl Popper” structured debate, from his years as a debater since the format arrived in Kosovo and later as coordinator of the “ACTIVA” debate club in Ferizaj. He described what debate gives you, his experiences at home and abroad and why debate matters to society as a whole.

Organised by a team of young volunteers from Ferizaj, with the support of IPKO Foundation.
