About this edition
The 49th edition took place on Tuesday 7 July 2020 as an online discussion, live on BarCamp Ferizaj's Facebook page, about dealing with the past and sexual violence during the war in Kosovo. It started from the memory book “I Want to Be Heard”, with accounts by women who survived torture in the last war, and covered stigma, psychosocial support, the legal framework and state mechanisms, reparations, and the achievements and challenges of working with survivors.
Sebahate Pacolli-Krasniqi, from the Kosova Rehabilitation Centre for Torture Victims (KRCT), was the discussion's first speaker.
Kushtrim Palushi, a founding partner of the RPHS law office, a long-time civil-society activist, an individual member of KOMRA and an expert in transitional justice and in Kosovo's process of dealing with the past, was the second speaker.
Korab Krasniqi, from forumZFD (Kosovo Programme), talked about researching and documenting the experiences of survivors of wartime sexual violence.
Organised by BarCamp Ferizaj's team of young activists, under the umbrella of Iniciativa për Progres (INPO), in partnership with forumZFD (Kosovo Programme), with the support of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ).
