About this edition

The 37th edition took place on 16 December 2017 in Orchide's conference room and was about activism and its impact on the community.

Mrika Aliu, executive director since 2013 of the Action for Mothers and Children foundation, which runs health programmes for mothers and children in Kosovo, was a fellow of USAID's TLP programme studying for a master's in Public Health at Dartmouth College in the United States. She talked about community engagement as a force for positive change, and how in four years the organisation became a model of community mobilisation, fundraising and systemic change in maternal and child health.

Korab Krasniqi, project manager at forumZFD (Kosovo Programme) and an activist working on dealing with the past, collective and historical memory and peacebuilding, had been part of civil society since 2008. With a degree in psychology and a master's in political science under way, he talked about forms of memory activism and dealing with the past through forumZFD's projects of the previous three years, including research on memories of the 1990s and marginalised social memory.

Organised by BarCamp Ferizaj's team of young activists, under the umbrella of Iniciativa për Progres (INPO), with the support of IPKO Foundation.
