About this edition

The 22nd edition, the last of 2015, took place on Tuesday 22 December in Orchide's conference room. It was about breaking down the communication barriers between Kosovo's communities and about discrimination by race, nationality and sexual orientation, through research, awareness projects and a play.

Valentina Abazi presented a study she carried out with her team on the problems facing the Serb, Turkish, Bosniak, Gorani and Roma, Ashkali and Egyptian communities in Kosovo.

Liridon Veliu, co-executive director and programme manager at the Center for Social Emancipation (QESh), explained basic LGBT terms, QESh's aims and activities, and the USAID-supported project “Kosovo is Ready” (KiR).

Shpëtim Selmani talked about the play “The Encyclopedia of the Living”, a Serbian-Kosovar co-production about the problems between the Serb and Albanian communities: nationalist ideas, absurd reasons and the politics that led to war. He also presented his latest book, “Notes of a Quarreller”.

Organised by BarCamp Ferizaj's local organising team, with the support of IPKO Foundation.
